    Come see Mike Flynn from QT Fabrics give a presentation on the History and Making of Fabric.  QT Fabrics is America’s oldest fabric company (since 1807) and Mike is an expert on fabrics.  You’ll learn a little bit about the history of fabric, but you’ll learn a lot about how fabric is made.  Including the new digital printing process which is changing the industry.  You’ll learn how to be an informed fabric consumer going forward.

    Rock That Quilt Block with Linda Hahn

    Through an extensive trunk show, Linda shares her concept on how to "rock" a block.  Change a color, rotate a patch, or perhaps divide a patch and you have a whole new "flavor" of the block.  Sometimes combining several rocked blocks give you surprise secondary or tertiary patterns - depending on the colors chosen.  A real eye opener!

    Brenda Grampsas, AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles, will present this Lecture/Trunk Show about the Care & Laundering of Quilts. Should you wet wash a quilt?  Sometimes the answer is “NO”.  The answer can also be “YES”!  Brenda has had success laundering quilts using some rather unconventional methods.  Laundry of vintage quilts will be discussed. Come and hear the ins and outs of getting stains and spots out of your quilts.

    Tales of a Traveling Teacher: Lecture with Linda Hahn

    Linda takes you behind the scenes for a look at many areas of the quilting industry.  How did your favorite quilt book ever get printed?  When does a shop owner ever get to sew?  How did the teacher prep for class and why does she always look so fabulous?  Who thinks up all those great designs and notions?  Count on Linda's anecdotes and tips for an entertaining peek as she shows samples of her quilts.
