Do you own Electric Quilt 8 and have never it out of the box? Would you like to learn how to use it?
Would you like to preview your fabrics in your quilt before ever cutting and sewing them? This can be done by downloading them from manufacturer’s website or taking photos with your phone.
Would you like to be able to rotate your blocks and see how they look in the different settings without ever having to sew a stitch?
Would you like to be able to resize your blocks without having to do the math?
Would you like to be able to print out a list of the exact yardage you’ll need for your quilt?
Would you like to be able to print out templates, rotary cutting instructions or foundation piecing instructions for your blocks?
This will be a one-day class learning the basics of Electric Quilt 8. In the morning, students will learn the basic functions of Electric Quilt 8. In the afternoon, students will learn to recreate Blue Bear’s “In the Jungle Quilt” in Electric Quilt 8 and to print out fabric yardage and cutting instructions. Ahead of class, the students will have the opportunity to download a free version of the software onto their laptop computers for two weeks use and then they will need to purchase the software if they want to continue to use it. If time permits, we will continue exploring more advanced features in EQ 8 such as creating many designs from one block, creating with Accuquilt dies, importing your own and manufacturer’s fabrics into EQ 8, and making a final practice quilt. If Blue Bear can do it, so can you!
